The low beam headlight settings may not meet specifications

PhotoMercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) is recalling eight model year 2018 GLA250 4Matics. The low beam headlight settings on these vehicles may deviate from the required specification, reducing the range of light.

Thus, the vehicles do not comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Reduced headlight range can affect visibility and increase the risk of a crash.

What to do

Dealers will inspect the headlight adjustment, correcting it as necessary, free of charge.

The recall began on October 27, 2017.

Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-877-496-3691.
