Six varieties of Island Soups brand products recalled

The products may be contaminated with clostridium botulinum

PhotoIsland Soups Company of Saint Albans, N.Y., is recalling the following products that may be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum:

  • Gungo Peas Soup, net wt. 16-oz
  • Gungo Peas Soup No Meat, net wt. 16-oz
  • Red Peas Soup, net wt. 16-oz
  • Red Peas Soup No Meat, net wt. 16-oz
  • Mannish Water, net wt. 16-oz
  • Fish Soup, net wt. 16-oz

There have been no confirmed reports of illness related to the recalled products to date.

The recalled products are coded BEST BEFORE dates July 2015 June 2018

Products were sold through internet website purchases.

The products are packaged in 16 oz. glass jars with white lids and a white plastic with brown lettering safety seal.

What to do

Customers who purchased the recalled products should segregate and destroy them.
