The steps may not remain in the expected position and may be unstable

PhotoForetravel is recalling 23 model year 2008 Nimbus motorhomes manufactured July 9, 2007, to March 25, 2008.

The recalled vehicles are equipped with certain Lippert-brand Coachstep Double Electric Steps which use a bolt to attach the fan gear assembly to the steps. This bolt may fracture allowing the fan gear to disengage from the steps.

As a result, the steps may not remain in the expected position and may be unstable, increasing the risk of injury.

Foretravel will notify owners and dealers will install a retainer bracket to reinforce the operating mechanism, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin February 22, 2016.

Owners may contact Foretravel customer service at 1-936-564-8367, or Lippert customer service at 1-574-537-8900.
