Josephson's Smokehouse recalls nine seafood products

The products may be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum

PhotoJosephson's Smokehouse of Astoria, Ore., is recalling nine canned seafood products (salmon, sturgeon and tuna).

 

The products may be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum.

 

There have been no reported cases of illnesses to date.

 

The following products, packaged in metal cans with net weight 5.5-oz., 7.0-oz., and 7.5-oz., with any codes starting with "OC," are being recalled:

The last date of distribution of recalled products was September 2015.The code can be found on either the bottom or on top of the can.

 

The recalled products were sold by Josephson's to consumers from its retail store in Astoria, Ore., and to mail order customers through the website www.josephsons.com and telephone orders.

 

Consumers who purchased recalled canned seafood products should destroy them or return them to the firm for a replacement. The recalled cans for replacement can be brought to the retail store or mailed to Josephson's Smokehouse; 106 Marine Drive; Astoria, Oregon 97103.
