Garibaldi Cannery recalls canned seafood products

The products may be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum

PhotoThe Garibaldi Cannery of Garibaldi, Ore., is recalling all cans with any code starting with “OC” of The Garibaldi Cannery canned products.

 

The products may be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum.

 

There have been no reported cases of illness to date.

 

Products were distributed to consumers in Oregon and shipped nationwide via the www.thegaribaldicannery.com website. The last date of distribution of recalled products was September 2015 (with an expiration date of September 2018.)

 

The following products with any codes starting with “OC,” are being recalled:

PACIFIC SALMON6 oz. (170 g)
SMOKED PACIFIC SALMON6 oz. (170 g)
SILVER SALMON6 oz. (170 g)
CHINOOK SALMON6 oz. (170 g)

 

The code can be found on either the bottom or on top of the can. Products are packaged in metal cans with net weights ranging from 6-oz. to 8-oz.

 

Customers should contact The Garibaldi Cannery for replacements of canned products. Replacements or refunds will be given only for products that are returned to the company.
