Market of Choice is recalling the herb/garlic variety of its “Market Cheese Shop Baked Brie.” Tests shows that this product may contain pecans, an undeclared allergen that has the potential to cause adverse health effects in certain consumers.

Pecans are classified as a tree nut, and while the product is not bad for most consumers, those with an allergy to that type of food could suffer from illness or injury.

The product has been recalled from nine Market of Choice stores in Oregon. The stores are located in Eugene, Ashland, Corvallis, SW Portland, Cedar Mill, and West Linn. The product was distributed to these stores between August 3, 2015 and September 27, 2015.

No injuries or illnesses have been reported to date, but placards have been placed in areas where the product was sold. The product can be identified by the UPC code 217563014997.

Market of Choice says that consumers who have purchased the recalled product can return it for a full refund. You can contact Patrick Lowen with any questions or concerns, Monday through Friday, at 541-513-0486 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. PDT. You can also contact the company at their website
