Fatima Brothers recalls Shad Raisins

The product contains sulfites, which are not listed on the label

Fatima Brothers is recalling 7-oz. and 14-oz. packages of Shad Raisins.

 

The product contains sulfites, which are not listed on the label. The consumption of 10 milligrams (mg) of sulfites per serving has been reported to elicit severe reactions in some asthmatics. Anaphylactic shock could occur in certain sulfite-sensitive individuals upon ingesting 10 (mg) or more sulfites. Analysis of Shad Raisins revealed they contained 38.19 (mg) per serving.

 

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.

 

The recalled product comes in an uncoded 7-oz. and 14-oz. plastic bags and was sold in retail stores in New York and New Jersey.

 

Customers who purchased the recalled product should return it the place of purchase.
