A&S Food Trading of Brooklyn. N.Y., is recalling Hua Zhi Ying brand gourd candy.
The product contains sulfites, which are not listed on the label.
Anaphylactic shock could occur in certain sulfite sensitive individuals upon ingesting 10 milligrams (mg) or more of sulfites. Analysis of the product revealed it contains 33.22mg per serving.
No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.
The recalled product, made in China, is sold in a 250G un-coded, clear plastic package in New York state.
Customers who purchased Hua Zhi Ying brand gourd candy should return it to the place of purchase.
