Giant Eagle recalls Japanese breaded cod fillets

The product contains soy, an allergen not listed on the label

PhotoGiant Eagle is recalling all lots of its brand of Japanese breaded cod fillets, prepared and sold individually from the Seafood department in Giant Eagle and Market District supermarkets through March 23, 2015.

 

The product contains soy, an allergen not listed on the label, but is safe for consumption by those who do not have soy allergies.

 

There are no reported illnesses to date associated with this recall.

 

The recalled product, with a UPC of 68106 31470, was sold at Giant Eagle and Market District supermarkets in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia and Maryland.

 

Customers with a soy allergy who purchased the product in question should dispose of it or return it to their local Giant Eagle or Market District store for a refund.
