The fuel pump may stop pumping fuel

PhotoJaguar Land Rover North America is recalling 355 model year 2013 Jauguar XF vehicles manufactured September 11, 2012, to October 8, 2012.

The electronic modules that control the fuel pump may shut down, causing the fuel pump to stop pumping fuel, resulting in the vehicle stalling. The vehicle would also lose power-assisted braking and power-assisted steering, which could increase the risk of a crash.

Jaguar will notify owners, and dealers will inspect, and install if necessary, an additional wiring harness to the in-tank fuel pump, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin April 17, 2015.

Owners may contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's number for this recall is J051.
