H&H Sports Protection recalling 1,172 VCAN V528 helmets size XL manufactured April 1, 2008, to October 9, 2014.
The helmet retention systems failed during high temperature testing, and the required labeling may not be found on the helmets. Failed helmet restraints can increase the risk of serious personal injury to the occupant.
H&H will notify affected owners, retailers and dealers, and will reimburse the full purchase price for the helmets. The recall is expected to begin in December 2014.
