Whalen’s Horseradish Products of Galway, N.Y., is recalling Whalen’s Seafood & Burger Sauce recalled.
The product contains anchovy, an allergen not listed on the label.
No illnesses have been reported to date.
The recalled product was distributed to two wholesalers in New York, to consumers through on-line sales and to cash & carry customers at the Deerfield Christmas Sampler in Deerfield, Mass., on November 28, 29 and 30.
The product is packaged in an 8-oz. clear glass bottle labeled “WHALEN’S SEAFOOD & BURGER SAUCE”, and may be identified by a Sell by Date of 17 July, 2015 (stamped on a label located on top of the bottle).
The product does not have a UPC code. To date, the firm has been able to recover 23 bottles from the marketplace.
Consumers with fish allergies should not consume this product, but should return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
