Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA is recalling 3,100 model year 2015 FZ07 motorcycles manufactured May 1, 2014, to September 30, 2014.

The positive battery cable may be pinched between the seat base and seat bracket. If the battery cable is pinched, it may chafe and short-circuit, increasing the risk of a fire.

Yamaha has notified owners, and dealers will replace the positive battery cable and seat bracket, free of charge. The recall began in early November 2014.

Owners may contact Yamaha customer service at 1-800-962-7926. Yamaha's number for this recall is 990089.
