The recalled scooters may have a faulty engine control unit (ECU) which can cause the engine to stall without warning. If the engine stalls while the scooter is being ridden the risk of a crash increases.
Genuine will notify owners, and dealers will replace the ECU with a new one, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin in September 2014.
