Jaguar Land Rover North America has issued two separate recalls for vehicles with braking and software problems.
In the first, the company is recalling 68 model year 2013-2014 Jaguar XF vehicles manufactured October 18, 2012, through February 25, 2014.
The right-hand rear brake pipe in the affected vehicles may wear against a bracket located on the rear sub frame, causing the brake pipe to wear through and leak brake fluid. Leaking brake fluid can lengthen braking distance and increase the risk of a vehicle crash.
Jaguar will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the rear brake pipe for signs of wear, maninpulate the bracket on the rear sub frame, and inspect and replace the rear brake pipes if wear is visible, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin July 29, 2014.
Owners may contact Jaguar customer service at 1-855-524-8278. Jaguar's number for this recall is J036.

The second recall involves 70 model year 2013 Jaguar XJ vehicles manufactured May 21, 2012, through July 10, 2012.
The generic software calibration installed on the vehicles' Restraints Control Module (RCM) may not meet the specification for proper operation of the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS). Vehicles that have the generic software may put the occupants at an increased risk of injury in the event of a crash.
Jaguar will notify owners, and dealers will upload new software for the Restraints Control Module, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin on July 29, 2014.
Owners may contact Jaguar at the above phone number. Jaguar's number for this recall is J040.
