K-Fat of Brooklyn, N.Y., is recalling KFI Sweetened Ginger Candy because it contains undeclared sulfites.

People who have severe sensitivity to sulfites run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume this product.

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.

The recalled product comes in a 8.8-oz (250g). clear, plastic container with no code: The UPC code is 8935001201304. The product was sold in the New York City and New Jersey area. It is a product of Vietnam.

Consumers who have purchased KFI Sweetened Ginger Candy should return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
