Kroger recalls select frozen Private Selection berries

The products may be contaminated with Hepatitis A

PhotoThe Kroger Co. is recalling select Private Selection berries manufactured by Townsend Farms due to possible Hepatitis A contamination.

No customer illnesses have been reported to date.

The following items are being recalled:

  • PRIVATE SELECTION FROZEN TRIPLE BERRY MEDLEY, 48 OZ (BEST BY: 07-07-20; UPC: 0001111079120);
  • PRIVATE SELECTION FROZEN TRIPLE BERRY MEDLEY, 16 OZ (BEST BY: 06-19-20; UPC: 0001111087808);
  • PRIVATE SELECTION FROZEN BLACKBERRIES, 16 OZ (BEST BY: 06-19-20, 07-02-20; UPC: 0001111087809)

The recalled products were distributed to the following stores:

Kroger, Ralphs, Dillons, Smiths, King Soopers, Frys, QFC, City Market, Owens, Jay C, Pay Less, Bakers, Gerbes, Harris Teeter, Pick n Save, Copps, Metro Market, Marianos, Fred Meyer, Dillons Marketplace, Frys Marketplace, King Soopers Marketplace, Kroger Marketplace, Smiths Marketplace, Food 4 Less and Foods Co.

What to do

Customers who purchased the recalled products should not consume them, but return them to a store for a full refund or replacement.

Consumers with questions may contact Kroger at (800) KROGERS Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to midnight (EST), and Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 AM to 9:30 PM EST.
