Choice Canning recalls chicken fried rice

PhotoChoice Canning Company of Pittston, Pa., is recalling approximately 35,459 pounds of chicken fried rice.

The products contain milk, an allergen not declared on the label.

There are no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.

The following items, produced on February 13, 2019, and February 19, 2019, are being recalled:

  • 22 oz. printed polybag of FUSIA Asian Inspirations, Chicken Fried Rice, Complete Skillet Meal, with a packaging date of 2/13/2019, and a Best if Used By date of 08/13/2020 on the label.
  • 22 oz. printed polybag of FUSIA Asian Inspirations, Chicken Fried Rice, Complete Skillet Meal, with a packaging date of 2/19/2019, and a Best if Used By date of 08/19/2020 on the label.

The recalled products, bearing establishment number P-45217 inside the USDA mark of inspection, were shipped to retail locations in California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Minnesota, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas and Virginia.

What to do

Customers who purchased the recalled products should not consume them, but discard them or returned them to the place of purchase.
