Johnsonville of Sheboygan Falls, Wis., is recalling approximately 109,603 pounds of jalapeo cheddar smoked sausage.
The product may be adulterated with pieces of hard, green plastic.
There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.
The following fully-cooked pork sausage item, produced on January 4, 2018, is being recalled:
- 14-oz. plastic packages containing 6 pieces of JALAPEO CHEDDAR Smoked Sausage with Best By date 04/04/2018 and Batch ID 1001124486 or 1001124487.
The recalled product, bearing establishment number EST. 34224 inside the USDA mark of inspection, was shipped to retail locations nationwide.
What to do
Customers who purchased the recalled product should not consume it, but discard it or return it to the place of purchase.
