Goldenfeast is recalling several exotic bird food blends due to possible contamination of Salmonella from parsley flake ingredients supplied to Goldenfeast by an outside supplier.
On February 11, 2013 Specialty Commodities initiated a voluntary product recall of parsley flakes distributed to Goldenfeast and other pet food manufacturers of the possibility of Salmonella contamination. Specialty Commodities distributed the product to Goldenfeast on May 17, 2012. No human or pet illnesses have been reported.
Recalled products were distributed to retailers and distributors in Arizona, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Idaho, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Washington, Wisconsin, Virginia and in Canada.
No other Goldenfeast products are affected.
