Gear Isle recalls dietary supplements

The products contain active pharmaceutical ingredients not declared on the label

Gear Isle, doing business as Gadget Island, is recalling various dietary supplements marketed as sexual enhancements.

The products contain sildenafil, desmethyl carbodenafil and tadalafil, active pharmaceutical ingredients not declared on the label.

Use of these products may pose a threat to consumers because the active ingredient may interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs (such as nitroglycerin) and may cause a significant drop in blood pressure that may be life threatening.

Among the adult male population most likely to use these products, men who use nitrates for cardiac conditions are the most at risk.

The company says it has not received any reports of adverse events related to this recall.

The recalled products were sold on the internet nationwide.

What to do

Customers who purchased the recalled products should stop using them and return them to PO Box 1156 Newark CA 94560 for a refund.
