Torn and Glasser recalls pistachios

The nuts have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella

PhotoTorn and Glasser, Inc., of Los Angeles, Calif., is recalling some packaged Pistachios because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.

This decision to recall was made due to the expanded recall of pistachio products by ARO pistachio due to the potential of Salmonella contamination. The recalled Torn and Glasser products contain pistachios supplied by the ARO processing plant located in Terra Bella, Calif.

The recalled product was distributed from February 21, 2012, to April 29, 2013, in Calif., Ariz. and Hawaii.

The company has not received any complaints concerning illness to date.
