Arcadia Trading recalls Lizard Fish

The product may be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum

PhotoArcadia Trading of Brooklyn, N.Y., is recalling 34 cartons of Lizard Fish that may be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum, a bacterium which can cause life-threatening illness or death.

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.

The recalled product, imported from Vietnam and packed in uncoded bulk 15-kg. boxes, was distributed to supermarkets nationwide between February 11, 2014, and July 8, 2016.

What to do

Customers who purchased the recalled product should not consume it even if it does not look or smell spoiled, but return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
