The candles can burn with a high flame, posing a fire and burn hazard. The company has received about 89 reports of candles with high or erratic flames including four reports of minor burns. There are no reports of fire or property damage.
The recalled votive candles were sold loose, not in any container, and were displayed in open trays or bins. The candles are 2-inches high and are wider at the top measuring 1.75- inch diameter on top and 1.5-inch at the base. The candles were sold in dozens of fragrance varieties and colors. The votive candles were not individually labeled with any prices, model numbers, names, date codes or fragrance descriptions.
The candles, manufactured in the U.S, were sold at Swan Creek Candle company stores in Florida, Michigan and Ohio, other small candle shops nationwide and on-line from January 2012, through November 2012, for about $2.
