Taylor Farms New Jersey recalls product due to possible tree nut allergies

PhotoTaylor Farms New Jersey of Swedesboro, N.J., is recalling a limited quantity of Black Forest Ham and Cheese on a Pretzel Roll with Swiss Cheese and Country Dijon Honey Mustard because they have the potential of containing an undeclared tree nut allergen. No illnesses have been reported to date.

The sandwiches were sold to a limited number of Wawa stores in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Virginia and Maryland. The recalled products include 529 units of the Black Forest Ham and Cheese on a Pretzel Roll with Swiss Cheese and Country Dijon Honey Mustard which have the code date of "sell by" 06/23/13 TFNJ 170 5:00am packaged in an 8.7oz. plastic container. The affected product was distributed to stores on 6/19/13 and was discovered by a store associate.

The product includes a country Dijon honey mustard packet that was inadvertently replaced with a green pesto aioli packet containing pine nuts in a limited number of units.

The recall does not apply to any other Wawa products distributed anywhere in the United States.

Consumers who have purchased Wawa Black Forest Ham and Cheese on a Pretzel Roll with Swiss Cheese and Country Dijon Honey Mustard are urged to discard it and contact the Wawa Call Center at 1-800-444-9292 24 hours a day 7 days a week for a full refund.
