Clik here to view.Ivolution Sports is recalling 1,007 IV2 JX-SKY motorcycle helmets, sizes S, M, L, XL manufactured February 1, 2015, to July 15, 2016.
The helmets may have two detachable plastic accessory pieces -- a plastic mohawk and a face mask -- that were attached with small screws. These accessory pieces may alter the angle of impact and neck position in a motorcycle crash. As such, these helmets fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 218, "Motorcycle Helmets."
If the accessories are attached with a rigid connection such as with screws, the rider has an increased risk of injury in the event of a crash.
