Clik here to view.Casa di Trevi of Roselle Park, N.J, is recalling approximately 845 pounds of meat pasta products.
Some of the products were formulated with sodium nitrite and sodium erythorbate, restricted ingredients and ingredients of public health concern.
Others contain isolated soy protein and hydrolyzed soy, allergens not declared on the label.
Finally, some products are labeled with the government mark of inspection applied by Casi di Trevi without authorization from the Secretary of Agriculture.
There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions, injuries, or illnesses due to consumption of these products.
The following heat treated, not fully cooked, not shelf stable meat pasta products, packaged between February 1, 2016, and July 20, 2016, are being recalled:
- 12-lb. case containing 1-lb. bags of “CASA DI TREVI GOURMET PASTA PRODUCTS MEAT TORTELLINI.”
- 12-lb. case containing 1-lb. bags of “CASA DI TREVI GOURMET PASTA PRODUCTS MEAT RAVIOLETTI.”
- 1-lb. bags containing “COLASURDO’S MEAT TORTELLINI.”
- 16 oz. bags containing “LUIGI’S ITALIAN SPECIALTIES GOURMET MEAT TORTELLINI.”
- 13 oz. packages containing 12 jumbo round pieces of “COLASURDO’S MEAT RAVIOLI.”
- 13 oz. packages containing 12 pieces of “CASA DI TREVI GOURMET MEAT RAVIOLI.”
- 13 oz. packages containing 12 jumbo round pieces of “DUTCH MILL MARKET MEAT RAVIOLI.”
- 13 oz. packages containing 12 jumbo round pieces of “STONY HILL FARMS MEAT RAVIOLI.”
- 12 oz. packages containing 12 pieces of “GINA’S ITALIAN DELI GOURMET MEAT RAVIOLI.”
- 12 oz. packages containing 12 jumbo round pieces of “MONTEREY GOURMET MEAT RAVIOLI.”
- 12 oz. packages containing 12 pieces of “MOSSUTO’S MARKET GOURMET MEAT RAVIOLI.”
- 12 oz. packages containing 12 jumbo round pieces of “LUIGI’S ITALIAN SPECIALTIES GOURMET MEAT RAVIOLI.”
The recalled products may not bear the USDA mark of inspection, or may incorrectly bear Food safety and Inspection Service establishment number “8419” inside the USDA mark of inspection. The products were distributed to retail and wholesale customers in New Jersey.
What to do
Customers who purchased these products should not consume them, but throw them away or return them to the place of purchase.
