Dorothy Lynch Home Style Dressing recalled

A bacterium forms gas bubbles in bottles causing the dressing to foam over or spew out when opened

Tasty Toppings is recalling Dorothy Lynch Home Style Dressing.

 

A bacterium (lactobacillus), commonly used in foods such as yogurt, forms gas bubbles in bottles, causing the dressing to foam over or spew out when opened.

 

The product poses no health risks to consumers.

 

The products were shipped primarily to Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska and South Dakota.

 

Customers can look at the “Best By” date on the neck of the bottle to determine if it is affected.

 

The following varieties of Dorothy Lynch Home Style Dressing are being recalled:

  • Home Style 8, 16 or 32 ounce bottles with “Best By” dates between 9/16/16 and 1/7/17.
  • Home Style gallons: with “Best By” dates between 6/16/16 and 10/11/16.

What to do

 

Customers who purchased the recalled product may return it to the store for a refund.
