Michael Angelo's Gourmet Foods recalls vegetable lasagna product

The product may contain turkey, as well as egg, an allergen not listed on the label

Michael Angelo’s Gourmet Foods of Austin, Texas, is recalling approximately 1,575 pounds of vegetable lasagna product.

 

Due to a packaging error, the 10-oz. cartons are labeled as “Michael Angelo’s Vegetable Lasagna.” However, the packages contain a turkey lasagna product, which contains egg, an allergen not listed on the label.

 

There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of this product.

 

The following item produced on Feb. 12, 2016, is being recalled:

  • 10-oz. boxes containing plastic trays labeled “Michael Angelo’s Vegetable Lasagna” with a packaging date of Feb. 12, 2016.

The recalled product, which does not bear the USDA mark of inspection, was shipped to a distributor in Indiana.

 

What to do

 

Customers who purchased the recalled product should not consume it, but throw it away or return it to the place of purchase.
