Southeastern Grocers recalls Bakery Creme Cakes

The products may contain peanuts, an allergen not listed on the label

PhotoSoutheastern Grocers, the parent company of BI-LO, Harveys and Winn-Dixie stores, is recalling its 32-oz. Bakery Creme Cakes and 14-oz. Bakery Sliced Creme Cakes.

 

The products may contain peanuts, an allergen not listed on the label.

 

The company says it has received no reports of illness associated with consumption of these products.

 

The recalled products were distributed between April 11, 2016, and April 26, 2016, through all BI-LO, Harveys and Winn-Dixie stores throughout Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina and South Carolina.

 

The products have UPC codes 205509000005, 205510000001, 205473000001, 205508000006, 205476000008, 205506000008, 205474000000 and 269740000002.

 

What to do

 

Customers who purchased the recalled products and have a peanut allergy should discard them and return to the store with proof of purchase for a full refund.

 

Consumers with questions may contact the Southeastern Grocers customer call center toll free at 866-946-6349 Mon. - Fri., from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. (EDT) and Saturday from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. (EDT).
