The vehicles may suffer a loss of power steering assist
March 28, 2016Jaguar Land Rover North America is recalling 6,938 model year 2013-2015 Jaguar XF vehicles manufactured May 16, 2012, to June 15, 2015 and equipped with 2.0L GTDi engines.
The retaining bolt for the Front End Auxiliary Drive (FEAD) idler pulley on the engine may fail resulting in a loss of power steering assist, which may increase the risk of a crash.
What to do
Jaguar will notify owners, and dealers will replace the FEAD pulley assembly, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin May 2, 2016.
