Supermarkets recall New Year's Pretzels

The pretzels contain walnuts, an allergen not listed on the label

Giant Eagle and Market District supermarkets in Pennsylvania and Ohio, and the Carmel Market District in Carmel, Indiana, are recalling all lots of New Year's Pretzels prepared and sold individually since December 26. Approximately 23,000 of the potentially affected pretzels were sold

 

The pretzels contain walnuts, an allergen not listed on the label.

 

The product is safe for consumption by those who do not have walnut allergies.

 

Customers with a walnut allergy who purchased the recalled product should dispose of it or return it to the store where purchased for a refund.

 

Consumers with questions may call Giant Eagle customer care at 1-800-553-2324 Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. (EST), or Market District customer care at 1-866-620-0216 Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. EST.
