The product contains sulfites not listed on the label.
The consumption of 10 milligrams (mg) of sulfites per serving has been reported to elicit severe reactions in some asthmatics. Anaphylactic shock could occur in certain sulfite sensitive individuals upon ingesting 10 mg or more of sulfites.
No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.
The recalled product was distributed in 15-oz plastic bags, Item # 51962, Expiration Date: 04/30/2016, UPC # 8 12125 00962 8 through supermarkets in NY and CT.
Customers who purchased this product should return it to the place of purchase.
