Vis Seafoods recalls all canned salmon products

The product may be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum

Vis Seafoods of Bellingham, Wash., is recalling all canned salmon and smoked salmon with any codes starting with “OC.”

 

The product may be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum.

 

There have been no reported cases of illness to date.

 

All products were sold to consumers from the Vis retail store in Bellingham, Wash., and to internet consumers from the website visseafoods.com. The last date of distribution of recalled products was September 2015. Affected production codes include any codes starting with “OC”. The code can be found on either at the bottom or on top of the can.

 

The following products, packaged in metal cans with net weight 5.5-oz and 6.0-oz with codes starting with “OC” found on either at the bottom or on top of the can, are being recalled:

Consumers are advised to destroy or return recalled product to VIS Seafoods for a refund.
