Nijay International, Inc. of Anaheim, CA is recalling eight cases of their “Down to Earth Organic Coriander Powder” product. This is due to its potential to be contaminated with Salmonella, which can cause a variety of illnesses in consumers.

Salmonella is a bacteria that can cause salmonellosis in people who eat contaminated foods. Symptoms of salmonellosis include fever, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. Young children, the elderly, and people with compromised immune systems are especially susceptible to the bacteria.
