Appeeling Fruit of Dauberville, Pa., says it's been informed by one of its customers that some of the Snack Fresh brand bagged red apple slices that were recalled earlier this month may have been distributed to schools in Florida’s Palm Beach County School District.

The product may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

The company says health authorities have not informed it of any illnesses linked to this recall, and that it's not sure how much of the recalled product may have been distributed in the school district.

Anyone who has recalled product should not consume it, but dispose of it properly.

Consumers with questions may contact the company’s consumer information desk at 1-866-873-0468, or visit the company website.
