Kilwin's Quality Confections recalls Sugar Free Milk Chocolate Caramels

PhotoKilwin's Quality Confections of Petoskey, Mich., is recalling 5-ounce containers of Sugar Free Milk Chocolate Caramels.

 

The product may contain cashews, an allergen not listed on the label.

 

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.

 

The mislabeled product was distributed to some Kilwins retail stores located in Michigan, North Carolina, Florida, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Georgia, New Hampshire, New York, Missouri and Maryland.

 

The recalled product, sold in some Kilwins stores between March 19, 2015, and July 29, 2015, and typically found in the sugar free section, is packaged in a black and white box with a small window and a yellow sticker across the top corner that states "SUGAR FREE."

 

It is labeled as " Sugar Free Milk Chocolate Caramels" on the package but may contain " Sugar Free Milk Chocolate Cashew Tuttles."

 

The recalled product has a batch code of "82461" located on the back side of the package above the bar code.

 

Consumers who purchased this product should return it the place of purchase for a full refund.
