The product contains sulfites, an allergen not listed on the label. The consumption of 10 milligrams of sulfites per serving has been reported to elicit severe reactions (anaphylactic shock) in some asthmatics.
No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.
The recalled products were sold in Elmhurst, N.Y.; Falls Church, Va.; Forestville, Md.; Maspeth, N.Y.; Quebec, Canada; Roxbury, Mass.; Saint Leonard, Canada; Secaucus N.J.; Silver Spring, Md.; Washington, D.C.; Westbury N.Y.; Mississauga, Ontario, Canada; Norwalk, Conn.; St. Catherines Ontario, Canada, and Sun Valley Canada.
Customers who purchased the recalled products should return them to the place of purchase.
