Euro Import Distributions recalls dried apricots

PhotoEuro Import Distributions of Brooklyn, N.Y., is recalling dried apricots in 3.5-oz plastic bags.

 

The product contains sulfites not listed on the label.

 

The consumption of 10 mg of sulfites per serving has been reported to elicit severe reaction in some asthmatics. Analysis of the Dried Apricots revealed it contains 23.26 mg per serving.

 

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.

 

The recalled dried apricots, a product of Russia, were distributed in New York in 3.5-oz plastic bags coded 20 02 15.

 

Customers who purchased the recalled product should return it to the place of purchase.
